Thank you to all the parent volunteers who were able to help us today. Also, we’d like to thank all parents who signed up but weren’t selected. We only had 4 slots allotted per class and wish you could have joined us. We’ll make sure you have an opportunity to join us for a future field trip. THANK YOU!

We wish Scott, one of our 4th graders, good luck as he leaves Hampstead Central School today. We’ll miss you!

Star cards didn’t make it out this week. (Yikes, we were busy!) Look for star cards to resume being sent home next Friday.
PTSA Halloween carnival tonight.
Pumpkin Math next Friday.
Parent conference sign up letters went home today. When you turn the slips in, Mr. Arredondo will write back and let you know if the time you chose was available. Conferences are on Nov. 2 and there will be no school for students.

Homework: Friday, September 10, 2010

Math: Memorize all of your multiplication facts from x1 to x10.
Reading: Read at least 20 minutes. Ventures needs to read 30 minutes. Of course everyone, you can read waaaaayyyyy more than that. ;)

Get your star cards sign by a parent over the weekend to earn Paw Points. Parents, this is a reminder that star cards are weekly behavior cards where students receive marks for the great things they are caught doing at school. Any negative marks are meant to serve as reminders to students of what they might have done that was not an expected behavior. Paw points are our class money system where great behaviors are rewarded with prizes.

PTSA needs parent volunteers to help begin coordinating events at Hampstead Central School. They are in need of a person to help them immediately with the Halloween carnival. They are other opportunities as well with a few different committes. Contact the PTSA for more information.
