Last day is tomorrow

Tomorrow is Move-Up Day so students will be spending part of their early-release day visiting their new teachers at Hampstead Middle School. Students will also open their time-capsule letters from the beginning of school. Finally, students will have their final Paw Points Store to purchase as much as they can with their remaining funds. No backpacks or other items will be needed to be brought to school tomorrow. Students are coming home with memory books that they received today and had signed by students and staff during a special pizza party for the entire grade level.

Students will leave with their report cards. Dismissal is at 12:45. This has been corrected from an earlier post, where staff had been told that a noon dismissal was possible. Again, 12:45 is the dismissal time.

Hampstead Central School just announced they are doing a special Valentine’s Day package for the military. The office will have a donation box for Twizzlers, Sweetheart candies, gum, M&M’s (won’t these melt in the middle east?), jelly beans, lifesavers, Sweetarts, lip balm, Valentine Cards for a soldier, or other non-melting items that say Happy Valentine’s Day. The last day of collection is this Thursday. Unfortunately, the announcement hadn’t gotten out to families with all of the snow cancellations. If you can help out, please do.

Report cards are coming this Friday! If you haven’t seen the parent letter from Mr. Arredondo, you may need to turn your student’s backpack and start shaking that letter out of them. Letters went home on Monday. A formal conference day is not scheduled this time around but parents are always welcomed to call or email Mr. Arredondo to schedule a conference (see the “contacting Mr. Arredondo” tab at the top of this website.

D.E.A.R. in the Dark is this Friday! See the same letter about report cards for more information.
