The year is over!

Students are bringing home their report cards, along with school supply lists for 5th grade (if their teacher gave them one, not all did), their time capsule letter from the beginning of 4th grade, and some other papers just sent home today.

Mr. Arredondo is happy to announce the following:
“As many of you know, Mrs. Ciance has decided to spend more time with her newborn so she resigned her position, which means I was offered a position back in 4th grade! I was also offered a position in Merrimack Middle School’s 8th grade but had to tell them that I’m coming back as a husky next year!”

Stay tuned to this website for photos and videos from this school year. Good luck at Hampstead Middle School!

Update 3:25 p.m.: We didn’t finish In the Year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson by Bette Bao Lord. If you were enjoying the story, finish the book over the summer. =)

Last day is tomorrow

Tomorrow is Move-Up Day so students will be spending part of their early-release day visiting their new teachers at Hampstead Middle School. Students will also open their time-capsule letters from the beginning of school. Finally, students will have their final Paw Points Store to purchase as much as they can with their remaining funds. No backpacks or other items will be needed to be brought to school tomorrow. Students are coming home with memory books that they received today and had signed by students and staff during a special pizza party for the entire grade level.

Students will leave with their report cards. Dismissal is at 12:45. This has been corrected from an earlier post, where staff had been told that a noon dismissal was possible. Again, 12:45 is the dismissal time.

Bingo Banquet tonight at 6:30!

We’re setting up at 6:00, if you’d like to help.

Any last minute questions?
E-mail Mr. Arredondo using the contact information page at the top of this website.

Reminders:
1.) Please bring your pot-luck dish. If it’s something that needs to be cooked, please cook it before hand, as we’re not allowed to use the kitchen.
2.) We’re asking families to keep younger/older siblings at home and focus on their 4th grader tonight. We have to keep our numbers down so that everyone can have a seat so, please limit it to parents and fourth graders only please.

[Too many people would mean not enough food, seating, and a need to hire security for the evening.]
3.) If needed, parking is available across the street.
4.) Fourth graders have been learning about proper dining etiquette, so please encourage them to mind their manners during dinner.
5.) There will be some bingo played, prizes won, and certificate awards handed out so this is definitely a night to bring in your camera!
6.) Out of respect for others, please mute your phones or set them to vibrate during the evening. You can always take a call in the entryway or outside.
