Flume tomorrow. Parents, don’t forget to pack for you and your students: a lunch (unless students preordered a school lunch), bring lots of water, dress for a hike (and very likely chance of rain and muddy areas), and kids may bring small electronics for the long bus ride, including cameras for the photo opportunities. There will be a gift shop and ice cream shop, so students may bring spending money (with your permission, of course). Chaperones may meet us at the Flume Gorge Visitor Center on Route 3 in Lincoln, NH 03257 (603) 745-8391 or meet at HCS at 8:45 and follow the bus, which is supposed to leave around 9:10. Parents will be allowed to congregate in the gym, in case you want to carpool and then follow the buses up to the Flume. An orange letter with more details was sent home today.
Bingo Banquet tonight at 6:30!
We’re setting up at 6:00, if you’d like to help.
Any last minute questions?
E-mail Mr. Arredondo using the contact information page at the top of this website.
Reminders:
1.) Please bring your pot-luck dish. If it’s something that needs to be cooked, please cook it before hand, as we’re not allowed to use the kitchen.
2.) We’re asking families to keep younger/older siblings at home and focus on their 4th grader tonight. We have to keep our numbers down so that everyone can have a seat so, please limit it to parents and fourth graders only please.
[Too many people would mean not enough food, seating, and a need to hire security for the evening.]
3.) If needed, parking is available across the street.
4.) Fourth graders have been learning about proper dining etiquette, so please encourage them to mind their manners during dinner.
5.) There will be some bingo played, prizes won, and certificate awards handed out so this is definitely a night to bring in your camera!
6.) Out of respect for others, please mute your phones or set them to vibrate during the evening. You can always take a call in the entryway or outside.

Lots of important information:
* June 8 is the Meet and Greet event at Hampstead Middle School, where students will be bused over during the day to tour the school, meet students and staff, and also enjoy a welcoming cook-out!
* The Bingo Banquet is June 14. Mrs. Hoppa sent home a letter with the details of the event. We’re asking families to contribute $5 to help cover the cost of cups, silverware, and other supplies. We’re also still looking for parents to help us make this event a success!
* The Flume field trip is June 17. Turn in your field trip forms and fees a.s.a.p.! Only 5 students have completed the process!
* Fourth graders in four classes are going to conduct an experiment in class next week. There may be some minor supplies needed, nothing expensive or hard to come across. We’ll send home a list this week and ask that you let Mr. Arredondo know if you need helping getting any item out of the 2 or 3 on the list. Students will display their results in their class to share with their peers. This science fair will be something we’ll invivte familes to when a date is set. (Most likely the afternoon of June 20.)
* Fourth graders will meet their 5th grade teachers at Hampstead Middle School on Move Up Day on June 21st, which is also the last day of school.

Mr. Arredondo is marching in the Memorial Day parade in Andover, MA this Monday. If you’re in the area, drop by! It starts at 10:00a.m. and goes through Main St. in downtown Andover.
Update 5:44p.m.: Mr. Arredondo says: I wanted to note that I was not responsible for the wording atop of the green Girls on the Run flyer this week. It was something that I noticed earlier in the week, brought up to the appropriate administration, and it was still approved to send home.
