Math: Practice division facts from 1 through division by 5. Timed “test” assessments start next week. We’ll see if you know your facts for division by 1 through division by 5 within 10 seconds per fact!

Ellis Island centers are next Thursday. A letter is going home today asking for parent support, if possible. Kids will be encouraged to bring luggage in, extra clothes, and will have a chance to dress as a “pauper” just before the centers at 2 p.m.
Next Friday is a half-day!

Pictures of the day: Class reward of DEAR in the dark

Our class does a weekly DEAR time, which stands for Drop Everything and Read. As a special class reward, late last year, the students were able to do DEAR in the dark and bring in pajamas, pillows, blankets, a flashlight, teddy bear, and other bedtime items to read in a comfortable way. We all stayed awake though, because we were really enjoying the books we brought!

A letter was sent home today regarding the upcoming Valentine’s party and also an opportunity to help out in the classroom on Thurs., Feb. 23rd from 2-3 for social studies. Let Mrs. Ahern or Mr. Arredondo know immediately if you can help out, as the kids will be going through classroom centers for the Ellis Island Experience.
